HEDFS Conducts Equipment Inspection, Tagging Visit, and Official Turnover at SCSC
SURALLAH, South Cotabato — The Higher Education Development Fund Staff (HEDFS) conducted an inspection, tagging, and turnover activity at South Cotabato State College (SCSC) on September 16, 2026, for equipment procured under the HEDF-funded project “International Mobility in the New Normal: Modernizing the ILab as an Innovative Laboratory for Global Education and Digital Citizenship”.
The activity was undertaken in compliance with Chapter 10, Section 17 of the Government Accounting Manual (GAM), which requires government property and equipment procured through grants to higher education institutions to be properly inspected, tagged, and documented. During the visit, HEDFS personnel inspected and tagged the equipment listed in SCSC’s submitted inventory report to ensure proper documentation and accountability of the procured properties.
As part of the visit, HEDFS also conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with relevant SCSC stakeholders to gather inputs in support of its monitoring and evaluation functions. The activity forms part of HEDFS’ efforts to strengthen monitoring and ensure the proper utilization, documentation, and accountability of equipment provided to higher education institutions through HEDF-funded projects.
