SCSC Joins National CPR Day 2026, Strengthens Emergency Response Skills

SURALAH, South Cotabato — South Cotabato State College (SCSC), through its Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) – Health Services Unit, participated in the nationwide observance of National Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Day 2026 by conducting a Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training on July 16, 2026.

The activity was conducted in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH) – SOCCSKSARGEN General Hospital (SGH), whose team of healthcare professionals served as facilitators and resource persons. Through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on training, participants gained practical knowledge and skills in performing Basic Life Support and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, enabling them to respond promptly and effectively during medical emergencies.

The training aimed to equip students, faculty, and staff with essential life-saving competencies while promoting preparedness, resilience, and a stronger culture of safety within the College community. By enhancing emergency response capabilities, SCSC continues to foster a learning environment that values health, safety, and public service.

SCSC also expressed its appreciation to the Department of Health – SOCCSKSARGEN General Hospital, headed by Dr. Leila F. Quidilla, Medical Center Chief I, and its team of dedicated healthcare professionals for sharing their expertise and supporting the successful implementation of the activity.
