South Cotabato State College Participates in 2026 PASUC Annual Convention and General Assembly

PASAY CITY — South Cotabato State College (SCSC), led by SUC President I Dr. Edward Lovell B. Brillantes, participated in the 2026 Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) Annual Convention and General Assembly held from July 13 to 15, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Pasay City.

Joining the SCSC delegation were Ms. Rhea E. Savariz, MPA, College Registrar and Officer-in-Charge, College Board Secretary, and Mr. Ardan P. Fusin, MALT, Administrative Officer IV and Assistant Board Secretary.

Carrying the theme, “Transformative Leadership and Strategic Governance: Empowering SUCs for Sustainable and Inclusive Futures,” the three-day convention brought together presidents, governing board officials, administrators, and key leaders from state universities and colleges (SUCs) nationwide. The gathering served as a platform for sharing best practices, discussing emerging trends in higher education, strengthening institutional governance, fostering innovation, and establishing strategic partnerships that support the continuous advancement of public higher education in the country.

The annual convention also featured plenary sessions, policy discussions, and collaborative engagements focused on enhancing leadership, institutional resilience, academic excellence, and sustainable development among Philippine SUCs.

SCSC’s participation reflects the College’s continuing commitment to strengthening institutional governance, promoting innovation, and aligning its programs and initiatives with national higher education priorities. Through active engagement in national academic and governance platforms, the College continues to pursue transformative leadership and responsive public service in support of its mission of delivering quality and inclusive higher education.
