Two SCSC Faculty Members Represent the College at an International Master Class and Conference in Fiji

Nadi, Fiji—Two faculty members from South Cotabato State College (SCSC) are representing the institution at a five-day international academic event hosted by Fiji National University (FNU), which runs from July 6 to 10, 2026. The event features a two-day Master Class Training, a two-day international conference, and a one-day educational tour aimed at promoting academic excellence, professional development, and global collaboration.

Mr. Nikki C. Cordero, MAST, serves as a panelist during the Master Class Training and conference, where he presents insights on the implementation of extension programs in the Philippine setting, emphasizing community engagement, sustainable development, and local capacity-building initiatives.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jorge P. Esoaragoza Jr., MagDev., is participating as a trainee, engaging in structured learning sessions designed to strengthen academic competencies, research capabilities, and professional development in the field of development studies.

In addition to their respective roles, both faculty members are participating in the event’s oral presentation and poster presentation competitions, providing an opportunity to showcase their research and exchange innovative ideas with fellow participants from across the region.

The event also features discussions and collaborative engagements highlighting a trilateral partnership among the Philippines, Fiji, and Australia, focusing on agricultural extension and community development. This initiative underscores the importance of cross-country cooperation in advancing sustainable agricultural practices and community empowerment.

Hosted by Fiji National University (FNU), the international gathering fosters collaboration among higher education institutions while promoting research, innovation, and academic networking.
