SURALLAH, South Cotabato โ€” South Cotabato State College (SCSC) actively participated in the โ€œPuno Sang Kabuhiโ€ Tree-Growing Festival held on June 22 in Sitio Lambusong, Barangay Colongulo, as part of the opening activities for the Municipality of Surallahโ€™s 63rd Founding Anniversary and 7th Surbetube Festival. Representatives from the College joined local government officials, employees, community members, and various stakeholders in the early morning tree-growing activity, demonstrating SCSCโ€™s commitment to environmental sustainability and community development.

The participation of SCSC highlighted the institutionโ€™s support for initiatives that promote environmental conservation, climate action, and responsible stewardship of natural resources. Through the activity, participants contributed to efforts aimed at increasing forest cover and fostering a greener environment for future generations. SCSC officials and personnel emphasized the importance of collaborative environmental efforts, noting that tree-growing activities not only help protect the ecosystem but also strengthen partnerships between educational institutions, government agencies, and the local community.
