SCSC Joins Surallah in 128th Philippine Independence Day Celebration
SURALLAH, South Cotabato — South Cotabato State College (SCSC), led by College President Dr. Edward Lovell B. Brillantes, joined the Municipality of Surallah in commemorating the 128th Philippine Independence Day on June 12, 2026. Dr. Brillantes, together with SCSC personnel, participated in the local celebration themed “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.” The program featured activities honoring the heroism and sacrifices of Filipino forebears, including the ceremonial flag-raising and the symbolic burning of the Lumang Watawat ng Pilipinas, signifying patriotism and the nation’s continuing pursuit of freedom.
SCSC’s participation showed the institution’s passion to upholding nationalism and preserving the values of courage, unity, and love of country among the community.
The annual observance served as a reminder of the significance of independence and the shared responsibility of every Filipino in shaping the nation’s future while honoring its rich history.
