BANGA, South Cotabato โ Thirteen (13) incoming fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Development Communication students of South Cotabato State College (SCSC) formally received their internship pins during a Pinning Ceremony held on June 5, marking their transition from classroom learning to field-based professional training. The ceremony brought together college officials, faculty members, students, and parents in recognition of the interns as they prepare to embark on their practicum and industry immersion. Delivering the keynote address was Jhan Jekem Barbero Fontanilla, MSCE, Education Supervisor II of the Department of Education Regional Office XII, who challenged the students to uphold professionalism, excellence, and integrity as they take on real-world communication responsibilities.

Following the pinning rite, Jeffrey B. Cabuslay led the pledge of commitment, affirming the studentsโ devotion to their responsibilities as interns, while Jickelle James D. Espora delivered the word of thanks. The program was attended by Ms. Lorelie S. Rallo, LPT; Dr. Jaime Boy Jr. U. Ngag, Program Chair of the Bachelor of Science in Development Communication program; Dr. Rylene Grace C. Denona, Dean; Dr. Gerry J. Madriaga, OSAS Direcotr; Dr. Joebert C. Legreso, Vice President for Academic Affairs, represented by Dr. Hope Esparagosa; and College President Dr. Edward Lovell B. Brillantes, represented by Mr. Ryan V. Fuerte, LPT.

The ceremony was hosted by Jellyca P. Garganera and Nel Jan P. Cogama as Masters of Ceremonies. As a significant milestone in the studentsโ academic journey, the pinning ceremony symbolized their readiness to apply the knowledge, skills, and values they have acquired in the classroom to professional communication settings, as they undertake a vital requirement of their degree program.
