These discussions deepened the participants’ understanding of ecological preservation, policy frameworks, and the vital role of the academe in promoting sustainable practices in tourism and entrepreneurship. An Open Forum and the distribution of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials followed, fostering active engagement and dialogue among students and environmental professionals.

Advancing the Sustainable Development Goals

This CEPA campaign strongly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

SDG 13: Climate Action – Encouraging climate awareness and resilience through education.

SDG 14: Life Below Water – Promoting conservation of aquatic and watershed ecosystems within the Allah Valley.

SDG 15: Life on Land – Supporting biodiversity protection and sustainable land use practices.

In her Closing Remarks, Helen E. Villame, Chief of the Technical Services Division of PENRO South Cotabato, emphasized the shared responsibility between the academe, government, and youth in achieving environmental sustainability: “Awareness must lead to action, and action must lead to preservation.” Through this collaboration, South Cotabato State College and PAMO-AVPL reaffirm their collective commitment to advancing environmental education, responsible citizenship, and sustainable community development—ensuring that the natural beauty and biodiversity of the Allah Valley Protected Landscape are protected for future generations. #SouthCotabatoStateCollege
