SCSC Expresses Gratitude to MASTS 2025 Participants and Coaches
 
													South Cotabato State College extends its heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to all delegates who proudly represented the institution during the Mindanao Association of State Tertiary Schools (MASTS) 2025, held in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental.
In the Socio-Cultural Events, SCSC takes pride in the outstanding achievements of its participants. Vongivson Samonte emerged as Champion in the Extemporaneous Speech category, coached by Dr. Nida R. Esteves. Mc Virgil Nable secured 5th Place in Essay Writing, while Clint Jazz Cajurao earned 9th Place in Storytelling, both under the mentorship of Mr. Jevit P. Medico. In the Visual Arts Category, Lance Edward Ensureña, garnered a Bronze Medal in In-Situ Painting under the guidance of Dr. Nida R. Esteves.
SCSC also commends the creativity and passion of other participants who showcased their skills in various socio-cultural events. These include Angel Cordero in Masining na Pagkukuwento, Cyron Dela Paz, Phoebe M. Lachica, and Mark Jason Lucido in Charcoal Rendering, Pencil Drawing, and Poster Making, Earl Marie Astronomo in Artistic Photography; and Neil Cosio in Pagsulat ng Sanaysay and Dagliang Talumpati. The College extends its deepest appreciation to all socio-cultural coaches; Dr. Nida R. Esteves, Mr. Jevit P. Medico, Mr. Kenaniah L. Cang, Mr. Reymone B. Gavileño, and Mr. Ardan P. Fusin for their vital role and continued support in honing the students’ talents and leading them toward success in their respective competitions.
For the Sports Category, Zyries A. Fernandez, proudly earned the Bronze Medal in the MTB XCE Race. SCSC also recognizes the dedication and sportsmanship of all student-athletes who represented the college with pride. These include Edsel Neil Cubangbang, John Wee T. Dajay, Jowi F. Demasu-ay, and John Mark E. Espinorio for Basketball 3×3 Men; Reden M. Penoy and John Aaron Biñas for Beach Volleyball Men; Mitch D. Gevero, Aileen Claire T. Ombid, Ivy Mae M. Senope, Nicole Paz, Rudylen V. Recidoro, Jenevy Darondon, Zyra Mae Arcenio, and Jean L. Ajeco for Futsal Women’s; Jay-R P. Benosa, Venancio Fedma and, Algen Makilan for Mountain Bike (MTB); and Moses Tapispisan and Dave Kler A. Gabanite for the Student First Aid Team.
The College further extends its appreciation to the dedicated sports coaches and coordinators who ensured the athletes’ readiness and welfare throughout the competition. These include Mr. Jose Conrad C. Braña, Director for Sports; Mr. Walden C. Aseral, Sports Coordinator and Futsal Coach; Mr. Ivan Minayo, Basketball 3×3 Men’s Coach; Mr. Placido Castillo, MTB Coach; and Ms. Catherine Java, Nurse and Medic Team Coordinator.
Under the leadership of Dr. Edward Lovell B. Brillantes, the SCSC Administration commends the entire delegation for their exemplary efforts, teamwork, and commitment to excellence. The College takes immense pride in your collective achievements, which reflect the spirit of sportsmanship, artistry, and excellence that South Cotabato State College continues to uphold.
