SURALLAH, South Cotabato — South Cotabato State College (SCSC) officially joined the national Elevated Conversations initiative today, September 12, 2026, participating in a ceremonial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Commitment Signing alongside leaders of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across the country.

Representing SCSC via Zoom, SUC President Edward Livell B. Brillantes, PhD, together with Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Joebert C. Legreso in attendance, signed the commitment to support the inter-institutional platform designed to promote graduate-level discourse, critical dialogue, academic collaboration, and knowledge-sharing.

The national initiative was officially launched at Pampanga State University (PamSU), featuring an inaugural session centered on the theme “Sustaining the Unsustainable.” The opening discourse was facilitated by Wesleyan University President Dr. Irineo G. Alvaro, Jr.

Inspired by the classical Greek agora, Elevated Conversations brings together graduate students, academic leaders, industry experts, and guest visionaries to examine complex issues in higher education, challenge traditional assumptions, and foster open, rigorous dialogue.

Through its participation, SCSC reaffirms its dedication to advancing quality higher education and contributing to meaningful platforms that shape the future of graduate studies nationwide.
