SURALLAH, South Cotabato β€” South Cotabato State College (SCSC) and the 7th Air Reserve Center (7th ARCEN), Philippine Air Force (PAF), formalized a partnership on August 24, 2026, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the implementation and administration of the College’s National Service Training Program–Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (NSTP-ROTC).

The partnership establishes the 7th ARCEN, PAF as the military unit that will handle the NSTP-ROTC component of SCSC, providing the necessary military training, supervision, and guidance to participating students.

The MOU signing ceremony was held at the SCSC Board Room, with SCSC President Dr. Edward Lovell B. Brillantes, represented by Edgar Paolo M. Macrohon, MM.

Dr. Ronnie T. Galera presented the purpose and goals of the partnership, while Lt. Col. Norwin DG Licoto PAF (GSC) delivered the message of acceptance on behalf of the 7th ARCEN, PAF. The activity proceeded with the signing of the MOU and photo documentation, marking the formalization of the collaboration between the two institutions.

The partnership is expected to strengthen the implementation of NSTP-ROTC at SCSC by providing students with structured military training and leadership development under the guidance of the Philippine Air Force. Dr. Joebert C. Legreso delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing the importance of institutional collaboration in supporting student development and strengthening SCSC’s commitment to excellence and service.
