IBP-SOCGEN Extends Free Notarial Services to SCSC Community Despite Rainy Weather

SURALLAH, South Cotabato — Despite the suspension of classes brought about by inclement weather, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) SOCGEN Chapter, through the South Cotabato State College (SCSC) Office of the Legal Officer, successfully conducted Free Notarial Services for students, faculty, and staff at the SCSC Board Room.

The outreach activity remained accessible to members of the SCSC community who returned to campus to avail themselves of free notarization services, reflecting the commitment of the IBP-SOCGEN Chapter to providing legal assistance and promoting access to justice.

The program formally opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Joebert C. Legreso, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who expressed the College’s appreciation to the IBP-SOCGEN Chapter for extending its legal services to the institution. Atty. Maria Gemma J. Oquendo delivered the message of support on behalf of the IBP-SOCGEN Chapter, emphasizing the organization’s dedication to public service and community engagement through accessible legal assistance.

The activity concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Gerry J. Madriaga, Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), who expressed gratitude to the volunteer lawyers, the SCSC Legal Affairs Office, and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the program.

Despite the rainy weather, the initiative demonstrated the unwavering commitment of the IBP-SOCGEN Chapter and South Cotabato State College to serving the academic community by bringing essential legal services closer to students, faculty, and staff.
