South Cotabato State College (SCSC), through its Adopt-a-Community and Adopt-a-School Project, successfully provided a potable water source benefiting the residents of Sitio Kaong and the learners of Little Baguio Elementary School–Lemluma Extension in Barangay Little Baguio, Surallah, South Cotabato.

The initiative aims to improve access to safe and clean water, a vital resource that supports public health, enhances learning conditions, and contributes to the overall well-being of the community. More than addressing a basic necessity, the project reflects SCSC’s commitment to community empowerment and sustainable development.

The successful implementation of the project was made possible through the collective efforts of the community members of Sitio Kaong and Sitio Lemluma, the Barangay Local Government Unit of Little Baguio, LADIFA Cooperative, and various partners and volunteers who generously shared their time, resources, and expertise.

Under the leadership of Dr. Edward Lovel B. Brillantes, College President, together with Nikki C. Cordero, MAST., Director for Extension, and Jorge Esparagoza Jr., MAgDev, the College continues to strengthen its extension programs by delivering responsive and impactful services to partner communities.

As SCSC advances its mission of transforming lives through education and community engagement, this initiative stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, proving that every drop of clean water can create opportunities, inspire hope, and build a brighter future for all.
