Surallah, South Cotabato – The successful launching of the FITS (Farmers Information and Technology Services) Kiosk at South Cotabato State College on June 2, 2026 marks a significant milestone in strengthening agricultural extension and information services in the region. Anchored on the continued commitment of the Agricultural Training Institute โ€“ Regional Training Center XII through the Techno Gabay Program, the initiative advances access to timely and relevant agricultural and fisheries technologies for farmers and stakeholders.

In his opening message, Mr. Jessie V. Beldia, PhD, OIC Center Director of ATI-RTC XII, emphasized the importance of accessible, technology-driven agricultural information systems and underscored the role of collaborative platforms such as the FITS Kiosk in empowering farming communities. This was further reinforced by the commitment message of SUC President I, Edward Lovell B. Brillantes, PhD, who affirmed South Cotabato State Collegeโ€™s full support for sustained partnership initiatives and its dedication to advancing innovation, extension services, and community-responsive agricultural development.

A key highlight of the event was the successful signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, which strengthened the partnership among collaborating institutions in promoting sustainable, technology-driven agricultural development. The ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Jon Ian D. Belo, OIC-Chief, ISS, ATI-RTC XII; Ms. Cherry C. De Castro, Acting Municipal Agriculturist of LGU Surallah; and Nikki C. Cordero, MAST, Director of Extension Services of SCSC, whose presence underscored a shared vision of agricultural innovation, effective information dissemination, and community empowerment through inter-agency collaboration.
