South Cotabato State College proudly recognizes Mr. Clint Jaz L. Imperial, the College’s first-ever Class Valedictorian and Magna Cum Laude graduate, who was chosen by CHED-UniFAST to deliver his testimony during the PBBM-GABAY ng Bayan Programs Information Caravan held on May 13, 2026, at Lagao Gym, General Santos City.

A beneficiary of the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) and Free Higher Education (FHE) Program, Mr. Imperial shared how accessible education transformed his life, from being one of SCSC’s pioneering graduates to now serving as an instructor of the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management program.

His inspiring journey reflects the power of quality and accessible education in helping students rise, achieve their dreams, and give back through service.
As the first and only state college in the Province of South Cotabato, SCSC remains committed to empowering learners through excellence, opportunity, and service.

The event was graced by key officials and representatives from the Commission on Higher Education and partner agencies, including CHED Commissioner Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, represented by Hon. Myrna Q. Mallari; CHED Regional Office XII Director Dr. Rody P. Garcia; Atty. Cinderella Filipina S. Benitez-Jaro, CHED Executive Director IV; and Hon. Lorelie G. Pacquiao, City Mayor of General Santos. Also present were representatives from DSWD Field Office XII, led by Regional Director Lorena JR V. Domingo, together with officials from partner agencies such as TESDA, Land Bank of the Philippines, educational institutions, local government units, and program beneficiaries. Their presence highlighted a shared commitment to expanding access to quality education and creating more opportunities for Filipino learners.
