South Cotabato State College (SCSC) conducted a Special Consultative Meeting on Incident Command System (ICS) and Emergency Preparedness on March 4, 2026, at the COC, bringing together members of the Incident Management Team and Disaster Response Officers of the College.

The activity aimed to strengthen the institutionโ€™s disaster preparedness and response mechanisms through a re-echo and overview of the Incident Command System, including the recreation of the Emergency Response Team, an open forum, and the preparation for the upcoming fire and earthquake drills.
The event was facilitated by Ms. Catherine A. Java, RN, and Ms. Rygine Joy A. Espulgar, and was supervised by Mr. Ronnie T. Galera, MEd, Disaster Incident Commander, together with Mr. Edgar Paolo M. Macrohon, MM, Chief Administrative Officer.

Participants included members of the Incident Management Team and Disaster Response Officers, who actively engaged in discussions on strengthening coordination, clarifying roles and responsibilities during emergencies, and ensuring that the College community is equipped with the knowledge and preparedness needed in times of disaster.

The meeting emphasized the importance of the guiding principle, โ€œKnow the Plan, Know Your Part,โ€ highlighting that preparedness, coordination, and proactive response are essential in safeguarding the SCSC community.
