𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐏𝐞𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐃𝐀𝟏𝟐 𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐌𝐗 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚, 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The Palaypel Team proudly represented the Department of Agriculture Region XII (DA12) during the three-day International Farmers Summit held on February 26-28, 2026 at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay.

 

As representatives of the Young Farmers Challenge – SOCCSKSARGEN Region, the team from South Cotabato State College was composed of Yany Torilla, Keziah Diaz, Jeffer Kitz Cuales, and Mr. Nikki C. Cordero, Extension Director. They proudly showcased their innovative product, Palaypel Seed Paper, an eco-friendly solution made from recycled rice straw that promotes sustainability and agricultural waste utilization.

 

The summit gathered major international companies, non-government organizations (NGOs), and various offices of the Department of Agriculture, providing a global platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and the promotion of innovative agri-based technologies. Through their participation, the Palaypel Team highlighted the ingenuity and commitment of young farmers in advancing sustainable agricultural practices in the SOCCSKSARGEN Region.
