LOOK | SCSC joins the 4th Crisis/Incident Management Training on Bomb Threat Response and Management, held February 3–5, 2026, at the University Review Center of Mariano Marcos State University in Batac City.

Held in support of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) initiative to strengthen disaster preparedness, emergency response capability, and institutional safety across higher education institutions, the training was organized in collaboration with the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) and the Philippine National Police – Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Group (PNP-EOD/K9).

The activity gathered selected State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) from across the country and focused on enhancing emergency preparedness, crisis response strategies, inter-agency coordination, and security management protocols, particularly in addressing bomb threats and related security concerns. Representing South Cotabato State College (SCSC) were Catherine A. Java, RN, LPT, and Rygine Joy A. Espulgar, MPA. Their participation reflects the College’s continued commitment to fostering a culture of safety, resilience, and proactive risk management within the academic community.

Through this engagement, SCSC further strengthens its institutional capacity to respond effectively to potential threats, ensuring a secure learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders while upholding the highest standards of campus safety and emergency preparedness.
