The successful MOA Signing held on December 5, 2025 at Brgy. Luhib, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato formally established the partnership between South Cotabato State College (SCSC) and local farmersโ€™ associations to advance bamboo agroforestry and indigenous seed development, reaffirming the Collegeโ€™s commitment to provide sustained technical assistance, capacity building, and research-based support to the Katipunan ng Magsasaka para sa Yamang-Lupa ng El-Alis (KAMAY ng El-Alis) and the El-lumet Indigenous People Farmers Association (ELIPFA).

The event was highlighted by the presence of SCSC President Edward Lovell B. Brillantes, PhD, the full support of Extension Services Director Nikki C. Cordero, MAST, the leadership of faculty proponents Hope P. Esparagosa, MAgDev and Ma. Argie M. Laquihon, DVM, and the active participation of the Institute of Agriculture faculty, as well as the presence of KAMAY ng El-Alis President Mr. Pablo C. Fernando, Jr., ELIPFA President Mr. Nonito Malingay, and Barangay Captain Hon. Apolonio Jomocan, underscoring a shared commitment to sustainable and resilient community development.
